Mission Trip to Alaska

Serve with the Alaska Mission for Christ (AMC) on a short-term team to Ninilchik. Located about 200 miles from Anchorage, Ninilchik is a Russian Village – big in commercial and sport fishing. The team will lead VBS for 65-75 children and plan activities for men, women and youth as volunteers and resources allow. The last day there’s a big potluck for families and VBS kids and we put on a ‘show.’ There will be some free time to fish as well! The cost for the trip is $350 + airfare. Tentative dates are July 6-15. If you are interested, please contact Pastor Scott (sgiger@stlukeaa.org).

Quarterly Mission

This quarter’s special mission offering will benefit the Kerina school for the blind, deaf, and disabled in Kenya. This school is sponsored by the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Kenya, and provides an education for children who would otherwise be excluded from school. These offerings will also help purchase educational materials, and provide basic needs like food and clothing for these children.
