The new class is called: “God’s Earth and You – Lutheran Environmentalism in the 21st Century.” We’ll be examining what the Bible and the Missouri Synod say about how Christians should approach environmental issues. We will attempt to move beyond polarizing politics to examine issues from a Christian perspective and discuss questions such as: What should be our approach as Christians to the “Green Movement”? What are some traps to avoid when approaching the issues? Where can we go for information? Who knows, we may even come up with an answer to the question, “What would Jesus Drive?” starts Sunday, April 22 during the education hour from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

Children (infant-5th grade)

Nursery / 0-4 yrs

Nursery is offered during each of our Sunday services and during the education hour.

Lamb Lot / 2 yrs

Our two  year olds love to hear stories about Jesus on Sunday mornings, so we have a special class for them. They will spend time hearing an age appropriate story about Jesus, make a craft and of course have a snack. Parents are welcome to come check it out.

Sheepfold (Sunday School) 3yrs-2nd grade

Sheepfold at St. Luke is like no other. We have chosen the name Sheepfold because it is a time when we gather God’s Little lambs together to share God’s love. The children begin their time with us in the worship center singing songs of praise and working on bible verses. In their classrooms, the children will spend time in worship and prayer, using an altar with the appropriate church calendar. They will hear the stories of Jesus told by our experienced and specially trained teachers who are story tellers using 3 dimensional figures to bring the stories to life. The children continue to experience their time in sheepfold by either making the craft or using the stories themselves to retell the story they have learned.

Growing in Christ 3rd-5th

Grades 3rd thru 5th have the opportunity to build their community of faith by learning major stories of the Old and New Testaments. The curriculum from Concordia weaves the church calendar and sections of the Catechism into each weeks lesson. A parent take home sheet reinforces what was taught that day and gives ideas and suggestion for daily family devotions for the week ahead.
