Winter Bible Study Options

With the beginning of 2015 comes the beginning of a new series of midweek and Sunday Bible studies across the St. Luke congregation. As you make your plans, consider your resolutions, and set your course for the New Year, consider one or more of these options for spiritual growth.


Midweek Bible Studies (Beginning the week of January 5, 2015)

University Lutheran Chapel

  • Men’s & Women’s Bible Study
    Men and Women of the Chapel are invited to gender-specific studies on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. Men will met in the Fireside Lounge. Women meet in the Second Floor Lounge.
  • Basketball, Bibles, and Beer
    Men join us at St. Luke, Ann Arbor on Tuesday evening for some basketball at 6:30 p.m. Then we will head to Buffalo Wild Wings for a Bible discussion and refreshments!
  • “Sermon on the Mount”
    This bible study by Jen Wilken will be led by Nancy Deeb. Meetings will be at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesdays at St. Luke-Ann Arbor. Cost is $14 for a book.

Living Water

  • “Sermon on the Mount”

  • Women’s Midweek Bible Study
    It’s not too late to join in a new Bible study that meets at 7 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays each month at the home of Gail Flynn; 7580 Webster Church Road, WL Topic is Margaret Feinberg’s “Fight Back With Joy.” Order the book and workbook.

St. Luke-Ann Arbor

  • Bible Study Fellowship
    Women’s Interdenominational Bible Study & Children’s Program meets Wednesday mornings from 9:30-11:20 a.m. at St. Luke-Ann Arbor. Check out the blog My BSF Journey to find out more!
  • “Sermon on the Mount”

Wednesday Nights (January 7 through February 11)
Join us at St. Luke-Ann Arbor for a Wednesday evening meal (5:45pm) followed by the following Bible study options (6:30pm):

  • Women’s Bible Study
    The Wednesday Night Women’s Bible Study resumes on Wednesday, January 7.
  • Meyer Middle School Study
    Darren Meyer will lead a study for children 4th-8th grade.
  • Amazing Journey with Jesus
    Libby Fink will walk with children pre-k to 8th grade as they journey together and get to know Jesus better.
  • Confirmation
    Families with children grades 6 through high school that are interested in confirmation meet in the Great Room.
  • Nursery
    The nursery staff will provide care for children infant-3 years old whose parents are involved in the discipleship program.

Sunday Morning Bible Studies (Beginning January 4, 2015)

Living Water

  • Breakfast Club – Jr. & Sr. High Youth
    Middle and High School youth resume Sunday morning Bible study on Sunday, January 4. Jill Smith is coordinating the weekly schedule to provide breakfast as well as paper goods. Sign up at the Welcome Table or Visit SignupGenius.com and enter gjrlsmith@yahoo.com.
  • Splash KidZone
    Bring your children to Sunday School beginning Sunday, January 4, 2015, at 9 a.m. for an interactive program where kids will have fun learning to live their faith 24/7! Stop at the KidCheck station to check-in and attend Adult Bible study. Get more information.
  • Pastor Dan’s Bible Study – Book of Acts
    Pastor Dan will continue his adult Bible study on the Book of Acts from 9-10 a.m. on Sunday mornings.

University Lutheran Chapel

  • Jr. & Sr. High Youth – The Story
    Sunday mornings, middle school and high school students at The Chapel meet in the Upstairs Lounge at 10:10 a.m to explore The Story.

St. Luke-Ann Arbor

  • Adult Bible Study (January 4-February 15)
    This pastor-led study will meet during the 9:45 Education Hour in the Great Room and explore the Gospel of Mark.
  • Sunday School (Sheepfold) – Ages 2 through Grade 5
    Kids will gather beginning Sunday, January 4, 2015, during the 9:45 Education Hour.
  • Jr. & Sr. High Youth
    Sunday mornings, middle school and high school students at St. Luke-Ann Arbor meet in the West Wing at 9:45 a.m to explore The Story.

Additional Jesus-Centered Support

Living Water & St. Luke-Ann Arbor MOPS

  • Mothers Of PreSchoolers
    • Living Water MOPS resumes on Thursday, January 8, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at Whitmore Lake Middle School.
    • St. Luke-Ann Arbor MOPS begins Thursday, January 15, from 9-11:30 a.m. at St. Luke-Ann Arbor.

Oasis

The Oasis support ministry meets Wednesday nights at St. Luke-Ann Arbor at 6:30 p.m.
