The purpose of the website is to connect people with Jesus. We want them to be able to interact with our content and share it with others easily.

This means the people in our St. Luke community and those who are not connected to our church community. We want everyone no matter where they are on their journey to become closer and more connected to Jesus. Our faith is not just a head knowledge, it is also an attitude of the heart.

We want everyone no matter where they are on their journey to become closer and more connected to Jesus.

The body of Christ and His creation are a wide range of cultures, backgrounds, and stories and we want to reflect that in our content as well. Because not every person is a mother, married for 17 years with 4 children whose parents are still married and was raised in the Lutheran church from birth; I can not be the only writer.  We each have a different background and story. The word of God has absolute truths that the text is sharing and the way we hear and connect those truths will differ from person to person.

Sunday morning worship is a major part of who we are as a church. With three sites we have a wonderful chance to have three different sermons and styles of worship each week. Church is where God has promised to show up and share himself in a very tangible and wonderful way. We want a response that takes Jesus and His gifts into our week.

Sunday worship is only 2 hours of your week. How do you take Sunday into your life?  Is God still present and working in your life? Are you still looking for Him in those everyday hours? Why does Sunday matter for the rest of my week? If Sunday does not matter; if Sunday does not feed me; If Sunday does not strengthen me and flow into the rest of my week, why do I go?

We want a response that takes Jesus and His gifts into our week.

So as you are asked to respond to worship we are looking for something that you will take into your week as you go about your daily routines. Maybe the confession and absolution was very meaningful for you or maybe you will carry a song into your week. Often it is the sermon that strikes a cord with us. I ask that you don’t rewrite or recap the entire sermon. We are looking for one thing that connected with you that will affect the way you live your life for Jesus.

We are looking for one thing that connected with you that will affect the way you live your life for Jesus.

Events, both fellowship and service oriented, and groups like MOPS are also a big part of who we are as a church. Again the point of these events, either fellowship or service,  and groups are to move everyone closer to Jesus. As we look to publicize and share information about upcoming events we will also be looking for content that shares a story of how that event impacted your life, your discipleship, and your family. They are also usually a great way to get someone not familiar with St. Luke Church to take a closer look. The concerts, bible giving, and  fall festival. are a few examples.

As we look to publicize and share information about upcoming events we will also be looking for content that shares a story of how that event impacted your life, your discipleship, and your family.

There are also times in our lives where something just strikes us or touches us. Maybe we had a conversation with a neighbor, coworker, or family member and some lesson or thought came of that conversation that would benefit others. These can be written and shared also. Roxanne Smith’s struggle with her chronic pain and the article from Austin’s award are a couple of examples.

As a content driven webpage the content needs to updated constantly. In order to do this we need a team of writers. One or two people can not provide all of the content. That being said you need to know that your articles will be read and edited both for grammar and content. We however, will not change the ‘feel’ or ‘sound’ of the writer as each person is unique. We will ask for revisions and if there is not time we will make revisions on our own. If something big is changed we will talk with you about the changes.

Your articles will be read and edited both for grammar and content.

We will ask for revisions and if there is not time we will make revisions on our own.

I look forward to working with each of you as we grow closer to Jesus and work to connect others with Jesus.

  • Everyone needs Jesus.
  • We want personal stories of how the things the church provides connects you with Jesus.
  • We want to help take Jesus into your daily living.
