Tim Timmons joined All Sons and Daughters for a concert here at St. Luke. I had a chance to talk with Tim before the show, and I was really caught by the way he talked about following Jesus.

Tim mentioned a fact he later used during the worship time: that we all have 10,080 minutes in our week. We tend to think of the 80 minutes or so of worship on Sunday as the time we set aside for God in our week. But what about the 10,000 other minutes? God wants those, too!

That thought—that following Jesus includes all 10,080 minutes—is at the heart of what it means to be a disciple. One of the things I continue to work on in my faith walk is needing Jesus in my every day. Tim helped me think more intentionally about that.
