“Your Word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path.” Psalm 119:105
I believe that Jesus is the light of the World who lifts the darkness and lights my path in my walk with Him. This is meaningful to me because I always try to make good choices and sometimes its hard and I need Jesus’ help and guidance.
Because Jesus provides a “lamp for my feet,” he helps guide me down the right path when I am tempted to make poor choices, whether it is arguing with my parents, doing things my friends try to get me to do, or not doing my best in school. Because I can always trust that Jesus is always there for me, that faith will help me make better decisions.
This verse encourages me to stay on the path by promising me that when I keep my eyes on the light Jesus provides for me, he will guide me and safely return me home to God the Father.
