I spent some time with Leslie Jordan & David Leonard from All Sons & Daughters before their worship concert here at St. Luke-Ann Arbor. I was really impressed with their perspective on how their local congregation impacts their approach to songwriting for the broader Church. What they said in this interview they lived out on stage: Leslie closed the event with the words, “God didn’t create you for isolation; He created you for relationship. If you don’t have a church home, find one. Let the Church love you. Let Jesus love you through the Church.”
What a great word of encouragement from someone who obviously loves both Jesus and the Church!
