It was December 19, 1993.  Hard to believe that 20 years ago, Rachael was baptized and to our surprise and delight it was on Angel Sunday.  We chose the date when family would be in town for Christmas so that it would not be an extra trip for anyone.  At the time, we had two worship services that ran simultaneously and we attended the worship service in the gym.

The 3 and 4 year old’s came up to the front of the gym to sing and I was so excited to see them.  The small cherub choir sang out their praises and we rejoiced with them as we also rejoiced in our daughter’s baptismal day.

St. Luke has had the tradition of Angel Sunday for over 20 years and this year we’re going to change it up a bit.  (thus the name remix) We want to make sure that families can invite their family and friends to come watch as again as our angels and miscellaneous animals come visit us and sing praises to baby Jesus.

Along with singing, we will have a birthday party for Jesus.  We will be meeting in the gym on Sunday, Dec. 22 from 9:45-10:45.  We will not have Sheepfold or adult bible study classes that day. birthday party

Parents of children ages 3-2nd grade, please have your child to their classroom at 9:45 to get in their costume.  Children in grades 3-5 will be part of the living nativity and will also need to get their costumes on at 9:45.

A continental breakfast will be served..yogurt, fruit, baked goods, and juices.  And of course, what would a birthday party be without cupcakes!

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone with their families as we fill the gym once again with the voices of our Angel Choir.  See you December 22,  9:45 sharp.
