Because I am “mobility-challenged” I always sit in the front row at the 9 AM Service at ULC.

So from where I sit, I can hardly help noticing when people file up to the altar to receive Communion.

Some are older, with a crown of  white hair attesting to their seniority.

Some bound up the  3 steps with agility and confidence.

Others walk more slowly, holding hands either with little ones, or older less secure ones.

Still others carry newborns.

Some wear shorts.

Other ladies wear long and graceful skirts or dresses.

Some wear Nikes.

Others wear heels of varying heights.

But all these hungry beggars crave

The Broken Bread the Lord supplies.

Glory to God
