Have you ever wondered if someone from church was a carpenter to finish your basement, or a pediatrician you can trust who shares your values, or a caterer to cater your son/daughter’s graduation party. Oh wait … we all know Mike and Judy Maynard and their lovely Angel Food catering! Now we just need to find out the rest of our congregation’s professions.
Well, in Connect … you can do that!
Back in March when we launched Connect to the congregation, Pastor Matt wrote a blog about about setting up your personal profile. You can read that blog HERE. Since then, we have added some custom fields so we can find out what your profession is and if you own your own business.
Log in to Connect, Go to your Profile, Edit Profile, Custom Fields. The Custom Fields tab is where you will enter this information. Here you will see a drop-down menu of options to choose from for your profession as well as some other questions.
Please take the time to fill this information in. If we have the information in our database, it’s easy to run a quick report to find any dentists in our community and pass that on to new employees, members, etc. By answering if you own a business, we can put together a business directory of all the business owners within our community as well.
Let the church be a community of working together to benefit from the strength of those around us and not just a fueling station on Sunday mornings!
