As fall begins we also begin a new series of midweek and Sunday opportunities for spiritual growth across the St. Luke congregation. Take a look at the options below and make your plans for growing in your discipleship journey.

Midweek Opportunities

Multi-site

  • Women’s Midweek Bible Study – “Malachi: A Love That Never Lets Go”
    This Bible study for women of all ages will be led by Nancy Deeb and is open to all St. Luke sites. “Malachi” is an 8-week study written by Lisa Harper. Books are $13 and can be ordered at http://lifeway.com/ or by contacting Nancy at nddeeb@hotmail.com. Meetings will be at St. Luke-Ann Arbor from 9:15-11:30 a.m. on Wednesdays starting September 16.
  • Bible Study Fellowship
    Women’s Interdenominational Bible Study & Children’s Program meets Wednesday mornings from 9:30-11:20 a.m. at St. Luke-Ann Arbor starting September 9. Check out the blog My BSF Journey to find out more!
  • Lutheran Women in Mission (LWML) resumes on Saturday, September 26, from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the home of Beth DeMeritt. Open to all St. Luke sites. Guest speaker from Operation Care Package Michigan.

 

University Lutheran Chapel

  • Men’s & Women’s Bible Study
    Everyone is invited to this co-ed Bible study on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. in the Fireside Lounge.
  • Basketball, Bibles, and Beer
    All are welcome to lace up your shoes and hit the court for basketball at the St Luke-Ann Arbor gym on Tuesdays starting at 6:30 p.m. Afterwards, we’ll head to a local restaurant for refreshments and Bible discussion!

 

Living Water

  • Women’s Midweek Bible Study
    This Bible study meets at 7 p.m. on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays each month, at the home of Gail Flynn (7580 Webster Church Road, Whitmore Lake) starting on October 6.
  • Men’s Midweek Bible Study
    Current study is “Understanding Islam–Basic Beliefs and Practices.” Meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday each month from 7-8:30 a.m. at Panera Bread in Green Oak Township.
  • Sweet Monday
    Casual time for ladies to hang out, eat sweets, and connect. Resumes on Monday, September 21, from 7-8:30 p.m. at Peaberry Bean and Beats on the third Monday of each month, September – May.
  • MOPS (Mother of Preschoolers)
    Begins on Thursday, September 10, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at Whitmore Lake Middle School building (8877 Main Street, Whitmore Lake). The 2015-16 theme is: “A Fierce Flourishing.” Register by clicking here.

St. Luke-Ann Arbor

  • MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)
    Begins Thursday, September 17, from 9-11:30 a.m. at St. Luke-Ann Arbor. The 2015-16 theme is: “A Fierce Flourishing.” Register by clicking here.

     Wednesday Nights (6:30-8 p.m.; September 9, 16, 23, 30)

  • Prayer
    Whether you’re new to prayer or are a more seasoned veteran, join us for encouragement from Scripture and bringing our requests to God’s throne of grace. Tony Rickard will lead a time of prayer in the Library.
  • Oasis Victors Men’s Group (beginning 9/2 – 11/18 from 6:30-8:15 p.m.)
    This 12-week study called “Walk of Repentance” is open to any man who is fighting temptations, addictions, or wants to help walk alongside another man who is struggling.   • Oasis Victorious Women (beginning 9/2 – 11/18 from 6:30-8:15 p.m.)
    Are you tired and worn out from the inner battles with yourself, your past, or your walk with God?  Do you need renewal in your marriage or spiritual journey? We will be journeying through “Becoming Myself” for 10 or more weeks and sharing and pursuing our identity in Christ and strengthening our faith. Sunday Morning Opportunities

Living Water (Beginning September 20 at 9 a.m.)

  • Breakfast Club – Jr. & Sr. High Youth
    Middle and High School youth, come hungry for breakfast and the Word, through Bible Study.
  • Splash KidZone
    Sunday School for children (ages 2 – grade 5) will be learning, singing, and doing crafts together. Parents, please stop at the Connect station to check in.
  • Pastor’s Bible Study
    Pastor Dan leads an interactive adult Bible class walking through the book of Psalms.

A staffed nursery is available on Sundays starting at 9 a.m.

University Lutheran Chapel (Beginning September 6)

  • Brunch
    Enjoy food, Common Cup coffee, and good conversation between services.
  • Soup
    Enjoy homemade soup, Common Cup coffee, and good conversation after the late service.

 

St. Luke-Ann Arbor (beginning September 13 from 9:45-10:45 a.m.)

  • Adult Bible Study
    This pastor-led study will meet in the Great Room through November 22.
  • Sunday School (Sheepfold) – Ages 3 through Grade 5
    Children pre-K3 to grade 5 will gather in the lower level at St. Luke.
  • Lamb Lot (2 yr. old)
    Children 2yr. old meet in the nursery.
  • Confirmation
    Families with children grades 6 through high school who are interested in confirmation meet in the rooms 1/2LL.
  • Breakfast Club – Jr. & Sr. High Youth
    Middle and High School youth, come hungry for breakfast and the Word, through Bible Study. They meet in the West Wing.

A staffed nursery is available on Sundays during the Education hour.
