I believe that Jesus died for me for the forgiveness of my sins. Without him, I would be nothing. I am not, nor is the rest of the world, perfect. However, those that choose to believe and have faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus will be redeemed and live in heaven forever.
My verse is Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Having busy mornings waking up to get ready for school, taking the bus, only to sit in a classroom for 7 hours, 5 days a week; it can really wear you out! Being so occupied for most of the week with school, homework, and other responsibilities that I have as a teenager, I tend to forget about my spiritual relationship with Jesus.
This is why I find the verse I chose strongly relates to my own life, because I need Him to strengthen me. Sometimes I feel like my everyday challenges are too much for me to handle but I remember God will always be there to help give me strength.
My image is of God pulling my arm and lifting me closer to him. Everyone interprets this image in a different metaphorical way, but I see it as me drowning in a lake of my sin. People are trying to push me and keep me down in the water, but God comes and pulls me out of the water and strengthens me when I am weak.
My image and verse tie in well with each other because they both have the same idea of me being able to have strength through God. Whenever I am having difficulties I can just think to myself how my heavenly Father will help me through the everyday struggles I face.
