“Trust in the Lord God with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways submit to Him, and He will guide your paths straight.” Proverbs 3, vs. 5 -6

I asked my godfather to choose a Confirmation verse for me, and the ones that he chose work very well for me.

I trust that through my life, Jesus will take care of me and get me through the good and bad times. All I have to do is trust in Him, no matter the situation, and follow the path that He sets.

Because Jesus watches over me, I believe that I should not worry about things as much, and lean more onto Him. If I’m ever in a bad situation, I can call out to my Father, or to my Savior, and He will be there with me.

All of this is possible because I believe that the Holy Spirit, and Jesus Christ, are looking out for me in my everyday life. There have been times in my life that I have felt this peace and known that they were there.

In responding to my chosen verses, I will have peace of mind and heart as I go through the rest of my life, knowing that these verses will guide me.

My Confirmation verses challenge me to go out into the world with the Lord’s guidance and fully rely on Him. But at the same time, it’s a relief to not have to live my life making all my decisions on my own.
