The Week’s Theme – Live Love(d)
I thought it was a good theme for the week. I certainly learned to love the other people in our group even when they were getting on my nerves. I realized that I need a lot of work in this area. God tells us to love everybody even your worst enemies, and this last week showed me that I am not so good at that. I have been to pretty much every retreat, event, bible study, ect. that this youth group has had in the past I don’t know how many years, and yet I still learn something every time I go even if it is the same theme as other events. This all might sound very cliché, but it is a real problem in this real world. I think this is part of the reason that this world has gone so downhill because people only love the people that they want to love, not the people that need the love. I know that I struggle with this, and this last week I saw that I am not the only one that does.

It was really fun hanging out with this group of people. I had a blast hanging out with the guys!! Contrary to what Peter says the repetitive jokes were still funny by the end of the trip! It was great goofing off with them (or watching them goof off), and even though Jakob kept trying to push me into the river and Josiah nearly gave me a heart attack I still loved being with them for a week.
