Proverbs 21:13 is a powerful call from God to help those who are in need. “He who shuts his ear to the cry of the poor will also cry himself and not be answered.”  What a scary thought!  I love and appreciate that God meets my needs. I want to be used by God to serve the needs of others.

My heart goes out to kids that have basic needs that are not being met. Imagine a child needing a pair of shoes for gym class and their parents can’t afford even a cheap pair. How would they feel? These shoes are for children that can’t help that their parents aren’t able to provide for them.

Unfortunately, there are some families in the Whitmore Lake District that have difficulty meeting theses basic needs. When I found out about it, God nudged me with ideas as to how I could help. Garage sales, Salvation Army, neighbors, family, friends, they all might have gym shoes that they or their kids no long use.

Imagine a child needing a pair of shoes for gym class and their parents can’t afford even a cheap pair.

New or a washed pair of old shoes can make such a difference in the life of a child.  Like me, please take the nudge from God and help these students by participating in the Giving Tree and shoe collection at Living Water.

The hope is that our Living Water community could cover the needs of 8 families in Northfield Township again this year. And we only have until December 7 to get the job done! So bring in those shoes and gifts and let God use you to bless a family in our community!
