Based on John 13:1-17
Welcome to Maundy Thursday worship. We’re thankful you’ve chosen to join us today. As you worship with us, please join in speaking the responses you see on the screen. The word ‘Maundy’ comes from the Latin word “Mandatum,” which means “command.” It was in the upper room, just after Jesus washed the disciples’ feet that Jesus gave his disciples a new command, to love one another.
(If you care to participate along with Pastor Hein, find an old towel and a Sharpie® marker to use during or after the service.)
This service will conclude with “The Stripping of the Altar” (with a reading from Psalm 22).
