Does your home bless those who enter it with peace and love? Is it a welcoming place for your spouse or yourself?
If you are like most of us, and being honest with ourselves, it needs work. What if you or your spouse walk in the door and are greeted with love, encouraging words and PEACE. Is this kind of peace even possible?
I have often found that peace is difficult to attain and maintain in our home. I remember the days that I would start my day at 6 a.m., get ready for work, wake up the four kids, get breakfast, finish packing lunches and be out the door to take the kids to school by 7:15 a.m. My husband was already out the door to run our new business and try to get more sales, reminding me to wash his shirts that night. It certainly was not without stress and most days didn’t look like peace. We’d be heading out the door with one kid missing homework, one still in PJ’s and one announcing that they had last minute practice after school.
The days of carefree and peaceful living, homeschooling, and all of us running in Frog Island Park became a thing of the past. (When God called me to go back to work)… It was a huge change for our family. I still loved my husband and kids, but the load I was bearing often felt like I was carrying one hundred pound backpack without support straps. I would have to say there were many days that it was difficult to find time just to communicate with my husband, much less find peace in our home.
I would have jumped at the opportunity of learning how to communicate better, strengthen my marriage, and attain and maintain PEACE in my home. I am very excited to share with you that St. Luke Lutheran Church is offering you that very opportunity.
