Thanksgiving is one of the best days of the year for those who love a good celebration and a delicious meal. Thanksgiving is defined as “the expression of gratitude, especially to God.” This year, the Guatemala Mission Team serving in January at Groundwork Guatemala hope to give you another reason to be thankful: by preparing a delicious Thanksgiving Turkey for your celebration!

The Guatemala Mission Team will be partnering with Sean Egmon and Steve Hoover (famous for their incredible smoked meats!!!) to smoke as many turkeys as needed to fulfill Thanksgiving orders again this year!

If you’ve been around awhile, you may remember the delicious smoked turkeys sold last year by the St. Luke Youth as a fundraiser for the National Youth Gathering. Were you one of the lucky ones whose Thanksgiving table included one of these delicious birds?!? If so, you know how exciting this opportunity is. If not, be sure you get one on your table this year!

Traveling for Thanksgiving? Don’t need a turkey because someone else is hosting? Turkey meat can be diced and frozen for white chili, or purchased as a gift to a family in need. Click here to make a tax-deductible gift to the Guatemala Mission Team.

Angie Moyer and other members of the Guatemala Mission Team will be available at St. Luke on Sunday mornings 11/6 and 11/13 to answer questions and take orders. You may also order online. Smoked turkeys are fully cooked when you receive them, weighing between 13-16 lbs.

Thanksgiving Smoked Turkeys will be prepared on Wednesday 11/23 and ready for pickup after Thanksgiving Eve Worship at St. Luke. You may also choose to have your turkey delivered within a 10-mile radius for an additional $10 donation to the mission team.

Thank you for your support!
