A couple of years ago, my good friend Adam Seeger came into my office at Peace Lutheran Church in Hurst, TX.
“Hey,” he said, “I noticed that the Google search for Ash Wednesday is trending, and there’s not really any solid Lutheran content that comes up on YouTube. What are you doing later this afternoon?”
One of the reasons I like Adam is because he says crazy stuff like that.
A couple of hours later, Adam, a high-def camera, and I met in Peace’s courtyard. By that evening, we had an Ash Wednesday video up. It became our most-watched video.
Adam’s a pretty cool guy.
Here’s the video, a couple of years old, with different worship times, but still a good way to prepare for Ash Wednesday worship.
Join us at St. Luke–Ann Arbor or University Lutheran Chapel for Ash Wednesday worship on March 5 at 7:00 PM.

St. Luke-Ann Arbor is a place for families of any kind to come and meet Jesus, and grow in their relationship with each other and the community around them. We are here to become intentional in our faith walk and to receive His grace and forgiveness weekly.
St. Luke is diverse in age, culture, and family make-up, but we all are looking to connect people to Jesus and walk along side them as they explore and learn more about the God that created, saved, and sustains them. We offer weekly Bible studies, Sunday morning bible studies, a MOPS group, and more to connect people to each other and to Jesus. At St. Luke we believe that the home is the primary place for faith formation and we want to equip, support, encourage, and resource you as you follow Jesus with the people He has put around you.
