Hey everyone!

We’ve had a busy couple of months in youth ministry. It’s been great! We’ve headed to SpringHill (twice), started up regular Mexicali planning meetings, held two youth ministry brainstorm forums, and begun meeting on Sunday nights from 7-9 for our weekly, all site, all age youth night! whew!

It’s an exciting time for youth ministry at St. Luke, and we’re so glad to be on the journey with you. We’re always looking for ways we can improve and serve you. We’ll be continuing to process our findings from our two brainstorm sessions as we plan into the future. We’ll also continue creating open lines of communication to get feedback on how to serve you best.

For now, enjoy these pictures from last weekend’s middle school SpringHill trip, peruse our summer schedule below or on our google calendar here. We also have a few opportunities to help support the Mexicali Mission Team’s upcoming trip to Mexicali, Mexico.IMG_2015

Team members will be selling $25 gift cards to The HoneyBaked Ham company, perfect for upcoming easter celebrations. The team will be receiving $5 profit for each $25 card sold, so see a team member or email Becky at bmajesky@stlukeaa.org to order yours!

We are also offering team member’s help for any projects you have around the house. We would happy to help out with projects such as painting, basic home improvement, clean up, yard work, moving, and more in exchange for a donation to the trip. Contact Paul at  peasterday@stlukeaa.org for more info!

Finally, here is the moment you’ve all been waiting for! Check out our summer schedule below, and dream of warmer, sunnier places:

Summer kick-off event

We’ll be getting the summer started right on Wednesday, June 10 with a big (literally) kick off. Expect things to be huge!

B^3

Back by popular demand, our B^3 Bible study is returning for another year! We’ll meet on Wednesdays starting on June 17. The location will change every week, so you’ll have to watch for details as they come out!

Summer mission trip!

We’re teaming up with TEAMeffort, a mission organization that coordinates work and build teams for people in need. We’re heading to the Appalachian mountains of Pennsylvania for a week, from June 21 – 27. The trip will be lots of fun. We even get to stay at a ski resort! Cost is $350 per person, with some fundraising help planned. To register, turn in a $50 deposit by Sunday, March 29. Spaces are limited, so register soon!

In His Service

Every year we gather as a youth group to reach out and serve our local community. From July 26-31 we will spend our nights at St. Luke Ann Arbor and our days out and about through Washtenaw county and beyond, serving and ministering to people in need. More details to come, but for now, save the date!

Youth Camp Out

We’ll be spending two nights at a local camp ground this summer for a fun-in-the-sun youth campout! We’ll spend lots of time at the beach, playing frisbee, and hanging out around the fire. We’ll even host our B^3 Bible study at the camp ground. See you there!

PointFest

We’ll be heading to Cedar Point for PointFest, a combo day of both roller coasters and Christian concerts! The even happens in September, but they haven’t released official dates yet. Our best guess points us (hahaha) to Saturday, September 12!

Thanks for reading, and we are excited to continue serving you!
